Kat & Justin’s Wedding
On August 22, Kat and Justin celebrated their nuptials in a grand yet slightly unconventional fashion at Toronto’s inspiring Arcadian Court.
The Experience
Following their offsite ceremony, guests were provided with custom-designed directions to the reception venue and an ice cream cone from the truck parked outside.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted by an array of rich wedding details: hot air balloon centrepieces with a fresh peach colour scheme, quirky chalkboard signs, and a vintage bicycle adorned with flowers. Servers passed unique bites such as fried scallops with smoked bacon romesco and Arcadian smoked brisket on O&B Artisan rye with Kozlik’s mustard. The cocktail reception also featured a Ninutik cheese and maple station.
Dinner offered chef-inspired fare like crispy skinned Arctic char and Arcadian Courtland apple crumble with peach (of course) compote. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their vanilla bean ombre cake with summer strawberries, beautifully designed by The Wedding Cake Shoppe.
Keeping in line with the whimsical tone, servers later reappeared with late night poutine plus maple, mascarpone and bacon brittle crêpes. The bride and groom also provided guests with flip flops for dancing, so they could keep the party going well into the night!
